Agricultural tractor tyres

Trelleborg agricultural tractor tyres are engineered to deliver high traction, heavy load carrying capacity and extended service life across all farming operations. The range spans standard radial tyres for everyday fieldwork, IF and VF (Increased Flexion / Very High Flexion) tyres that reduce soil compaction by up to 40% compared to standard tyres of the same size, and specialised models for rice paddies, row crops and high speed road transport.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), global arable land per capita has declined from 0.45 hectares in 1961 to approximately 0.21 hectares today (Source: FAO, FAOSTAT Land Use Data, 2024). Protecting existing farmland from compaction damage is therefore not just a technical requirement but an economic imperative. Trelleborg’s ProgressiveTraction® technology, featured across the TM700, TM800, TM900, TM1000 and TM1060 lines, addresses this directly by combining increased traction with a measurably larger footprint that distributes load more evenly across the soil surface.

From mid-range tractors (100 HP) to high-power machines exceeding 400 HP, Trelleborg offers one of the largest selections of ag tractor tyres globally. Explore the full range below or use the Tyre Selector to find the right model for your machine, axle load and application in the UK. Tyres for Articulated Tractors and Utility & Specialty Tractors are available on their respective product pages.

Choosing the right farm tractor tyres in the UK depends on your operation. It also depends on your soil conditions and your machine. Trelleborg offers four core technology tiers, each designed for a specific set of demands:

Standard Radial (R-1): The TM600 and TM800 lines deliver proven performance for mixed field and road use. The radial construction provides a large, even footprint that reduces slip, lowers fuel consumption and extends tread life compared to cross-ply alternatives. The TM800 ProgressiveTraction® variant uses a patented double lug design that anchors at two points for measurably higher traction per revolution.

IF (Increased Flexion): IF tyres such as the TM1000 ProgressiveTraction® carry the same load as a standard radial at 20% lower inflation pressure. This translates to a larger ground contact area, reduced soil compaction and improved traction in soft or wet field conditions. The European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) defines IF tyres under its standard for Agricultural Tyres and Rims (Source: ETRTO Standards Manual, Section 5).

VF (Very High Flexion): VF tyres like the TM1060 and TM800 PowerFlex operate at up to 40% lower pressure than a standard tyre at the same load. This provides the largest possible footprint, making VF the preferred technology for operations where soil health is a priority. The TM1060’s Wing profile maximises the tread contact width, distributing weight across a wider patch than conventional VF tyres.

Specialised Applications: For flooded rice paddies, the TM600 Rice offers deep lugs and optimised self cleaning properties. For row crops requiring narrow wheel spacing and minimal plant damage, Trelleborg offers dedicated narrow profile options. And for operations that combine field and forestry work, the T410 Agroforest provides reinforced sidewalls and an aggressive tread pattern for dual use environments.
