Which tractor tyre is right for my operation?

That depends on your usage profile. For intensive arable farming on sensitive soils, IF or VF tyres are recommended. These carry the same load as standard tyres at significantly lower tyre pressure. For mixed road and field operation, the TM700 and TM800 radial tyres are the proven all-around solution. Our tyre selector gives you a recommendation for your tractor type and application in just a few steps.

What do the abbreviations IF or VF mean on tractor tyres?

IF stands for "Increased Flexion": an IF tyre carries the same load as an identically built standard radial tyre, but requires 20 percent less air pressure. VF stands for "Very High Flexion": here, the pressure savings compared to a standard tyre are up to 40 percent at the same load capacity. Both technologies have been shown to reduce soil compaction and thus protect soil structure in the long term.

Which tyre size fits my tractor?

You can find the approved tyre size in your tractor's vehicle registration document (field O.1) or in the owner's manual. The key factors are tyre width, aspect ratio, construction type (R = Radial), and rim diameter in inches. Enter these values into our tyre selector to find compatible Trelleborg models.

Where can I buy Trelleborg Tires brand tractor tyres?

Tractor tyres are available exclusively through our authorised dealer partners in Australia. Use our dealer search to find the nearest partner. There you'll receive expert advice, professional mounting, and a final tyre pressure check right at the time of purchase.

Is there a warranty on Trelleborg Tires brand tractor tyres?

Yes, on selected rear-axle tyres in the TM series — including the TM800, TM900, TM1000, and TM1060 models — Trelleborg Tires grants a Progressive Traction mileage warranty of 5,000 operating hours. You can find the exact terms in the product documentation for the respective model or by asking your Trelleborg dealer partner.

What is the difference between radial and diagonal (bias-ply) tyres on tractors?

On radial tyres, the carcass plies run at a right angle to the direction of travel. This creates a large, flat contact patch, resulting in low slip and lower rolling resistance on the road. Diagonal (bias-ply) tyres have crossed plies at an acute angle: the tyre becomes stiffer and more impact-resistant, but ground pressure increases. In modern arable farming, the radial tyre dominates, while diagonal tyres retain their strengths in forestry work and on particularly hard, uneven terrain.
